“Losing my religion” — An interesting little read, even though I myself am an Atheist heathen… ;)

  1. Hmn… Unless I am missing an intentional pun on your end… “Loosing” might be a tad more than the guy is in for, here :) Although that would be an interesting concept… Loosening is certainly something most religions could afford a bit more of.

  3. It’s so ironic. We don’t see protests against Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy, but when it comes to the LORD God, the “atheists” go into a wild panic to vent their massive anger at Christianity. They can’t be genuine atheists if they consider God to be their enemy. LOL!

I’d bet that about 50% of “atheists” would love to burn the Bible! Come on now, why are these people so hostile against Someone who they claim doesn’t exist? What irony! I don’t see people venting such anger at Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, or Superman, or Batman, or King Kong, or Spiderman.

I’m not judging you in particular, SHS’ , just getting something off my chest, given it’s about the link, and that there are so many “atheists” that spend so much time and energy fighting against God and Christianity and it’s time to say something about it.

    Thank you.

  4. Well praise Allah that people still find the need to fill the religion shaped hole in their lives! ;)

  5. Indeed. The world is in bad shape, and the human race is in bad shape. Spiritual salvation is desperately needed.

At first, when I became a Christian, it was initially for the fear of going to hell and the subsequent eternal lake of fire. But as time progressed, it blossomed into a wonderful, intimate, personal relationship with God. Much more than a wife, friends, family, government, or anyone else could possibly give. Thanks to the LORD Jesus Christ, I have spiritual peace, even if everything around me falls to pieces and the rest of my flesh-based life turns to misery.

  6. I’ll personally declare Jihad if all people think “spiritual salvation” is the answer. Humanity would be much better off to grow the fuck up and ditch its multitude of intellectual crutches that manifest themselves as religion.

  7. Islamic terrorism, Roman Catholic pedophilia, Mormon polygamy, and other things like that make religion look bad. But when done correctly, true salvation/holiness can be such a wonderful, beautiful thing, like getting a gallon of cold spring water after being in the desert for 10 hours. For me, I can’t ask for anything better. But too many people abuse it, so that might be why there are so many atheists these days, and why you yourself may feel like personally declaring Jihad on a humanity gone wild.
