Woowee! My last couple days in 香港 (Hong Kong) till I fly off to 雲南 (Yunnan), firstly to 麗江 (Lijiang) for 4 days from the 5th of November till 9th of November, then back to 昆明 (Kunming) for 2 days before returning to 香港 (Hong Kong). Then it’ll be my flight out to دبي (Dubai) on either the 11th of November or 12th of November. The flight out on the 12th is confirmed and the one on the 11th is on waiting list, so I may pop over to 澳門 (Macau) for an overnight stay if I go for the 12th of November…
Still heading out of دبي (Dubai) for the 17th of November though shall be visiting my newly acquainted friend Susanne up in Berlin and meet up with Thomas, both of whom I met when they came over to 香港 (Hong Kong) for a holidaying visit after 上海 (Shanghai) and 廣州 (Guangzhou). I hope I didn’t cramp them too much as I volunteered myself to be their tourguide for those few short days as they were most pleasureable people to be in the company of!
The World (well, Internet) is a small one after all as Susanne and I weren’t complete strangers prior physically meeting as through the powers of Orkut (“affliated” with Google), there was only 5 degrees of separation between us by our mutual friends, with Suw Charman being the link on my side as she’s just being the super-connected lass that she is! ;)
Thomas himself will be off to Bath, England on the 21st of November whilst Susanne and I shall be heading down to Wien, Österreich. Susanne was keen that her and Thomas could return the favour of being tour guides. As I was flying through Frankfurt am Main, pretty much as close as I could be without actually landing at in Berlin and Wien respectively, I decided I should make the most of this little trip, so far lasting just a tad over 4 months!
It’ll be an evening flight on the 24th of November to get me from Wien to Frankfurt am Main via Nürnberg, then back to good olde Blighty on the afternoon of the 25th of November.
On a side note, seems that 香港上海匯豐銀行有限公司 (The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited) have cottened on to the fact I’m running my credit card near the limit and have bumped it a further £1400 without even me requesting it… Guess they like the possible extra bit of interest they could earn on it. ;) Suppose I shouldn’t be too cynical as the nice guys at IntelliRecovery (Hong Kong) managed to have recovered all data back from my popped laptop hard-disk (HURRAH!!), though my wallet is now some HK$10000 (US$1300, €1000, £725) lighter (OUCH!!). Was all worth it for a current copy of the 30-ish GiB random data in the form of digital negatives, archived emails, logs, other Top Secret World Domination Projects (oops, shouldn’t have said that) and so forth. Just excuse me as I sign up to sell a kidney or two… :(
YAY. I can`t wait to tourguide you back ;-) ! S

Now that you’ve got your negatives, zip them up and back them up! I’ve got some free space if you want a drop point…

No worries NeoThermalPantz… ;) I’ve got them backed up to two different set of DVD9+R, made by different manufacturers and will be transported in different bags. So the odds are even if one of my flights gets shot down by F-22As, a full set of my photographs can still be recovered! ;) & :P

I’m not overly sure what a F22A would be doing that far around the globe, and the fact that you would never see the F22A before it hits would make that improbibal. However, I would still consider a drop point for the images as Murphey strikes in fun ways…
