Am in Alice Springs right now and tomorrow will be doing a full day tour starting at stupid hour (6am... so need to be up an hour or two before, bleh) to Uluru and Olgas. On the 10th of August I'll be backtracking to Melbourne to fly out to Singapore and spend a week there and going back to Hong Kong for 6 weeks, staying with relatives.

Personally I'm fine, not much to report on other than the dull fact I'm getting progressively poorer. Will need some cunning plans to make some money whilst in Hong Kong as Dubai will be another expensive stop and ideally I'd still like to do a "mini" Europe tour starting in Russia when I get back to Heathrow... time will tell.

Hey Stan, not had a look at your site in a while. No mention of Alice Springs or where you are now? How's it all going so far?

I'm heading to Cairns for 10 days end of Aug. Can't wait, really need a break from the norm. Well, norm being work & no play!!

Don't hear much from you nowadays so would be good to hear how you are.

Literally just arrived at the guesthouse I'm staying at in Alice Springs with the temperature about 23°C, 27% humidity and completely clear blue skies... All in all pretty pleasant!

The time zone hopping thing hasn't been an issue since the London-Vancouver stop (-9 hours) as it's been fairly short hops of just a few hours meaning little/no jet-lag, excluding the loosing of the 18th as I went forward 23 hours going from Honolulu-Auckland (-1 hour, +1 day), which was more confusing than anything.

Melbourne-Adelaide is a little odd as the time difference is 30 minutes... why they do that I don't know! Anyhoo, I need to find some late lunh or some such...

Still enjoying your journey? Not getting tired a bit from all the flying between time zones? But I guess you'll get some rest in Hong Kong, right?
