I’m watching you British Telecom…

Posted by Jonathan at 22:48:43 UTC on the 19th of March, 2005

It’s been just over a week of practically no Internet connectivity yet somehow they, British Telecom insist the line which my ADSL is on tested just fine a good number of times. Nothing to while away the time whilst I’ve been off work with some evil virus which more or less put me on my back for more or less the same time period.

After one and a half engineer visits, things seem to be fairly stable over the last 24 hours so perhaps this issue is now finally resolved, though as ever with all things when dealing with British Telecom, I’m none the wiser what they’ve actually discovered, fiddled with or fixed. Bleh.

Oh and props to the Eclipse Internet helpdesk guy in being able to tolerate the 30 to 40 minute hold time for him to contact British Telecom’s ADSL reseller helpdesk thingy in getting the first engineer out! His plan on going to make a coffee whilst he waited was very wise indeed! ;)

Normal blogging service by yours truly will resume now… yes, just then! :D
